The building’s EPC should be available to all parties when the building is marketed and penalties will be incurred if a certificate is not produced upon exchange of contracts.
It is understood that the penalty will be 12.5% of the rateable value of the property with a minimum charge of £500 and a maximum charge of £5,000. This penalty will be incurred and in addition the EPC will still be required.
