The regulations in brief:

Energy Performance Certificates (EPC's) are a legal requirement for most commercial properties if you are letting, selling or making significant changes to your property. We ensure your commercial property meet all compliance standards with assessments that are valid for ten years.

It is a legal requirement to have a valid EPC before marketing most commercial properties for sale or rent and must be renewed every ten years.

There are exemptions such as properties intended for use for a period under two years, places of worship, detached buildings under fifty square metres and building due to be demolished. If you need clarification we will be only too happy to discuss.

From 1st April 2023 it is a legal requirement for all privately rented non-domestic properties to achieve an EPC rating of E or above. If your property doesn't meet this rating improvements must be carried out to ensure improve the rating to the legal minimum standard. We can advise on the necessary upgrades and oversee any works required.
